The writing prompt for Day 6 of #OctPoWriMo 2016 is Tantalising. To torment or tease someone with the sight or promise of something that is unobtainable. Something that the heart yearns for but seems out of reach, something that lights up the dreams and makes the life worthwhile but feels distant. A chase, a far fetched dream, a new interest or an old tease – Tantalising one to reach out to the sublime and embrace that elusive dream but what happens when the dream turns into an unanticipated nightmare ?
As suggested, have tried out “Diamante “form of poetry. I must admit that the discipline of posting one poem a day in OctPoWriMo 2016 is adding to the joy of writing poetry.
A diamante is a seven lined contrast poem set up in a diamond shape. More about this form of poetry on Shadow Poetry
